The University’s institutional compliance program provides oversight of individual compliance requirements in specific functions of the University. University leadership is responsible for establishing and overseeing compliance programs within functional areas and reporting significant issues to the Assistant Vice President for Compliance. The University’s compliance efforts are evaluated through the services of external and internal auditors and government regulators, as well as periodic assessments by management.
The University of Virginia benefits from the expertise of over 100 functional specialists who manage the University's compliance with dynamic and complex regulations. For questions about a specific area, the Compliance Matrix offers a comprehensive list of contacts in the Academic Division, the Health System, and the College at Wise.
